i think the most heroic artists are the ones who do it in community or in collaboration and have the stamina for the much longer timeline (i for one know the challenge of this working on Within Reach movie with a team)
“we only have 3 NEEDS in this world
1. sustainance
2 protection from the elements
3 community
beautiful thing is… COMMUNITY can give us the other 2!”
A blog about motivations for joining community
a great description in the first several paragraphs of the outer and inner intentions of why one person chose to join community. and it really helps me see my own motivations more clearly…both the positives and the negatives.
Home at last
So after being at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage, Rutledge, MO for the past week and slowly feeling it out here, I feel at home at long last. I am ready to root here. I love it here. What a wonderful community that I am in alignment with.Mandy Creighton is too and she’s been here for 3 months already holding the fort down for us.
here’s the winners of the wix art/photo remake challenge (my “American Gothic” remake didn’t win but it was fun! :)

Epi-Genetics
(link is to “Zetigeist 3 - 2011 official free online release” also check out Tanya Gabrielle’s take on this topic) “epi-genetics” is this new idea that promotes that we can CHANGE our genetics through our own mindsets and transformation and that we can then pass on those evolved genes to our offspring! I am excited by this prospect as my parents chalked me off as hopeless as i grew up because as i was adopted from drug addicted/criminally convicted natural parents, they saw my genetics as leading me down a path they felt they couldn’t “nurture” me away from. i have always felt their “nuture” has influenced my life much more than my “nature” and that even since i “left the nest” at age 18, the past 17 years of my life have been a continual transformation away from my “nature” and i feel i am a completely different person than my “nature/genetics” say i should be.
